Norman Voss Celebrates the APTS Class of 2024 with a Special Song

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Alternative Paths Training School hosted the Commencement ceremony in celebration of the graduating Class of 2024!

Graduates, staff, families and supporters gathered at Gar-Field Senior High School to watch as graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

Norman Voss, widely known for his success with his Stormin' Normin' band, and as the Bassist for Bret Michaels' Poisin, Norman has been invaluable in his pursuit to help us share with the broader community about the work that APTs does serve students and families.

APTS would like to give a huge thank you to Norman for sharing his amazing talents with us. He has been an incredible friend to APTS! His partnership has promoted inclusion and cultivated enriching opportunities for our learners.

We are beyond grateful that he could be with us to celebrate the graduating Class of 2024!

"It was an honor for me today to sing at the graduation ceremony of the Alternative Paths Training School. If you remember, I wrote this song with the students about a year ago. These young adults are so special and deserve the best, and that's what APTS provided.
As a bonus for me, this was held in my high school, and this is the stage that I played on 40 years ago in 1984 for the High School Talent Show. My first big stage!!! Full circle."
