October is National Physical Therapy Month!

Physical therapists (PTs) treat clients and patients who have medical problems or injuries that limit their abilities to move or function in their daily lives. PTs work with people who have experienced an injury, illness, or disease that have affected their movement and range of motion.

PTs use a wide range of techniques like exercise, stretches, hands-on techniques, and equipment to restore function or relieve pain.

Common PT goals for APTS students include improving strength, range of motion, mobility, balance, coordination, gait, swelling, pain, interfering behavior, or nutrition intake.🏋🚴🎯🙆👊🛁🏋

Did you know PTs have specialities too? PTs can specialize in cardiovascular and pulmonary, electrophysiology, education & educational therapies, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and sports medicine!

Thank a Physical Therapist this month!
